My grandparents and father (Bill and Ellen Nora Terry and Preston) lived in Dahlgren from about 1917 - 1920. My father should have registered for WWI from Hamilton Co. Could someone tell me if registration records are available in the county or where I might find them in IL? I haven't had any luck with St. Louis area llibraries. Thanks for any help! Jim Terry From my understanding, there was a fire and "all the" or "most of the" WWI records are not around. Boy, of all the wars ... you picked the one not around or on line! Silly! HA!! I have been to Springfield, ILVetAdmin, and more. Can not even find any left from the 'most of all' in IL or MO. Thanks!
