Hello, List, Does anyone know if there were particularly harsh conditions for farmers in Ham/Jeff/Wayne/Marion area in the mid-1870s? I am searching for a reason my people moved on to Texas between 1875 and 1878. Were there locusts, or drought, or some kind of economic crisis? Any hints or recommended source material?
