Claire, Sorry, to hear of your husband's illness. Perhaps if you move into a retirement center you will meet new friends who are also interested in genealogy, or if not you can teach them about all the fun they are missing. Do hope you will be able to keep your computer. The nice thing about donating your books to a genealogical library is the satisfaction of knowing, they will be well used and you will know where they are if you need to refer to one of them.
