James "Jim" E. Robinson, 65, of West Frankfort passed away at 7:09 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Franklin Hospital in Benton. He was born January 14, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to James C. Robinson and Marie (Whitecotton) Robinson. He married Maxine (Garrison) Robinson on August 9, 1987. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Robinson of West Frankfort; two daughters, Nadine Robinson of Mt. Vernon and Christine (Eric) Bohne of Elgin; two sons, James Brandon Robinson of McLeansboro and Jeff (Samantha) Mendenhall of West Frankfort; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; six brothers, Denny (Shirley) Robinson, Kenny (Pam) Robinson, David (Linda) Robinson, Bob (Karen) Robinson and Steve (Trisha) Robinson all of Mt. Vernon, Rick (Lori) Robinson Benton, Ky. a sister, Candy (Dennis) Pedigo of Benton; He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl Ann Robinson and a brother, John Michael Robinson. Jim was a carpenter. He had a passion for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, he loved to read, hunt and fish and be outdoors. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Noon Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Parker - Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
