McLeansboro Times-LeaderFri Jun 15, 2012, 09:00 AM CDT DAHLGREN — Ruth Moore, 71, of Old Shawneetown, passed away 7:20 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Harrisburg Medical Center. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Harrisburg, a daughter of Adrian and Arlie (Lane) Hull. Ruth’s husband, Goble Burtis Moore, preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1996. A graveside service was held Thursday at Westwood Cemetery, Shawneetown, with the Rev. Willie officiating. Burial was at Westwood Cemetery, Shawneetown. Survivors include two daughters, Adriana Hunt and husband David of Idaville, Ind., and Nell A. Rosser and husband Jerry of Old Shawneetown; three sons, James Moore and wife Francis and Burtis Moore and wife Twilla, all of Old Shawneetown, and David Moore and wife Mary of McLeansboro; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie Stricklin of Carrier Mills and Phyllis June Stafford of Taylorville, N.C.; and one brother, Michael Hull of Apopka, Fla. Ruth loved to fish, and she loved her dogs. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
