John William Ritchey, 51, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:27 P.M. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in St. Clair County, Illinois. Mr. Ritchey was born on Wednesday, May 10, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of John Charles and Mildred (Stegmoeller) Ritchey. He married Lisa Chizk in Mt. Vernon, Illinois in March 1995. Surviving family members include his wife: Lisa Ritchey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 sons: Shawn Chizk of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and John Caleb Ritchey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 daughters: Bria Perkins and fiance Wesley Sancken of Fairbury, Illinois and Alex Ritchey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 granddaughters: Paige Chizk and Madison Chizk of McLeansboro, Illinois and Brynn Runyon of Fairbury, Illinois; brother: Charles Mark Ritchey and wife Monica of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister: Cheri Smith of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents, one sister: Leanne Swenson and one daughter: Molly Irene Ritchey preceded him in death. John was a truck driver. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M.on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Gary Davenport will officiate. INTERMENT: Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois
