McLEANSBORO — Elsie A. Shepherd, 58, of Camden, Tenn., and formerly of McLeansboro, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Camden Healthcare. Mrs. Shepherd was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 15, 1953, in Salem, a daughter of Ray and Josephine (Kehrer) Atteberry. Elsie married Donnie Shepherd, who preceded her in death. Services were held Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro; Jason Pierce conducted the service. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, near McLeansboro. Survivors include a daughter, Angelia Michelle Hill and husband Robert of Camden, Tenn.; a sister, Kay Jackson of McLeansboro; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Dylan HIll. Mrs. Shepherd was a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband and one sister, Ellen Taylor.
