Researchers I'm trying to find more information on James Garrison who was married to Elizabeth Jane Carpenter (1845-1943). They divorced and she remarried 14 Aug 1870 to William W. Harmon in Jefferson Co, IL. According to the pension application she stated she was divorced from James Garrison prior to her marriage to William Harmon. Does anyone know who this James Garrison was? There are several James Garrisons in the 1860 and 1870 census which could be her former husband but I'd just be guessing which one was her husband.
