    3. Walter Ray Grubb 75-year-old Dahlgren resident, Walter Ray Grubb, died Thursday, July 19 in Belle Prairie. He graduated from Lockyear Business College in 1956 and was subsequently employed by Dowzer Electric in Mt. Vernon, IL as an accountant. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1960 and wserved for two years at Fort Lewis, WA as an accounting clerk. After returning to Illinois he continued working at Dowzer Electric where he eventually became the plant manager and retired in 1993 afer 37 years. In 1994 he went back to work with Vanex Paints as Vice President of Operations and retired again in 2009 after assisting with the company transition to become part of PPG Industries. He also served on the boards of Hamilton County Telephone Co-op and McLeansboro Hospital, as well as serving as treasurer of the incorporated village of Belle Prairie. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Delois Sue Counsil; one son, Mike of Coffee Springs, AL; two grandchildren; one brother, Robert of Waukesha, WI; and one sister, Marge McMickle of Mesquite, TX. In accordance with his wishes, a private cremation ceremony was held for Walter Ray Grubb following his passing. The Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements
