Diana Jane Munsell, 92, of McLeansboro, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro. She was born Feb. 21, 1920, to Wilson and Edith (Gullic) Vaughn, in McLeansboro. She married James F. Munsell on June 10, 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was the owner and operator of Diana Beauty Shop in McLeansboro. She was a charter member of the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the McLeansboro American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary, the Illinois Cosmetology Association and the First Christian Church of McLeansboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughters Reta (husband Ermon) Denny of Woodburn, Ky., Susan (husband Mike) Webb of McLeansboro and Kathy (husband John) Alexander of McLeansboro; five grandchildren, Justin Webb, Eathan Webb, John W. Alexander and Craig and Dirk Denny; nine great-grandchildren, Travis Denny, Leah Denny, Matthew Denny, Kaitlyn Webb Ragan, Oakley Webb, Austin Webb, Sydney Webb, Tara Alexander and Megan Alexander; and a nephew, Tom Wheeler of Benton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Hunt Bonan and the Rev. Carroll Kakac officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center activity fund and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
