DU QUOIN -- Velma H. Reynolds, 95, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin. Velma had been a homemaker. She had worked at Daily Grocery Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. She was also a member of the Euzelian Sunday School Class and Home Extension. She was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Leslie and Rella (DeWitt) Daily. She married Stanley Buskohl on February 10, 1935, and he preceded her in death in 1982. She then married Raymond D. Reynolds on April 5, 1986, in Du Quoin, and he preceded her in death July 5, 2003. She is survived by one daughter, Johanna Shaw of Pinckneyville; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, John Buskohl; and two sisters, Maxine Johnson and Virginia Brayfield. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with the Rev. Mark Lee officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or TIP Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
