    3. Dear, dear cousin - she will be missed greatly; she bonded with my wife, Betty, on hand-quilting and my wife always looked forward to being with her while I was running around doing genealogy in the area every July over the last several years. Zella Amanda (CAPPS) PAYNE was b. 19 Sep 1915 JCI ; #11 of 12 children born to and last surviving of George Washington CAPPS and Emma Jane PAGE (holler if anyone wants a full ancestry - she is also a ALLEN, MOORE, NEAL, RISLEY, SMOTHERS, TAYLOR, WEBB...) Zella married Harry Gilbert PAYNE (s/o Joseph Napolean PAYNE and Roxie Ann PEARSON) on 29 May 1933 JCI and they had Billy (lived 13 days) & Shirley - whom many of us know so well :-) Harry (29 Aug 1910 JCI - 11 May 1977 MV, JCI - he is a BOYER, BRITTON, COMPTON, HENLEY, NOONER, SCRIVNER, ...) I would imagine just about everyone in Dahlgren / Belle Rive area knew Zella. A life well lived - 96Y 4M 14D ... She was very active up until just the last month or so... wow!
