    3. Paul W. Hamson, 75, of Belle Rive, Illinois passed away at 4:25 A.M.on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his daughter’s home in Vergennes, Illinois with his family by his side. Mr. Hamson was born on Monday, December 21, 1936 in Belle Rive, Illinois the son of the late LaVern Edward and Nola (Ward) Hamson. He married Wanda Simmons on December 21, 1956 in Belle Rive, Illinois. Surviving family members include his wife: Wanda Hamson of Belle Rive, Illinois; 3 daughters: Paula Johnson and husband Jeffrey of McLeansboro, Illinois, Penny Skelton-James and husband Tony of Vergennes, Illinois and Pamela Pierce of Belle Rive, Illinois; 9 grandchildren: Dereck Johnson and wife Brittany of McLeansboro, Illinois, Travis Johnson of McLeansboro, Illinois, Jacob Skelton of Dahlgren, Illinois, Joshua Skelton and Jared Skelton of Belle Rive, Illinois, Addie, Josie, Ellie and Eli Pierce of Belle Rive, Illinois; 2 brothers: Elmer Hamson and wife Carolyn of Belle Rive, Illinois and Dennis Hamson and wife Dorothy of Belle Rive, Illinois; 2 sisters: Vivian Scott and husband Marvin of Belle Rive, Illinois and Phyllis Wilson and husband Frank of Belle Rive, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive. Paul was a driver for George German Trucking Company, served for six years in the Illinois National Guard, loved camping, hunting, fishing and horseback riding and spending time with his family. He was also a member of Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, Illinois. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, Illinois. Reverend Steve Hamson will officiate. ENTOMBMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home, church or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
