    3. John R. Biggerstaff 67-year-old Enfield resident, John R. Biggerstaff, died Friday, April 20 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was a life-long farmer, and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Enfield, St. Isadore Council 7118, Fourth Degree of St. Christopher, McLeansboro Elks Lodge No. 1882, McLeansboro Eagles No. 2699 and the McLeansboro American Legion Post. He served 28 years on the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District, 32 years on the Hamilton County Farm Service Agency Committee and Enfield School Board, and was currently serving on the Crook Township Board. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Shirley; three daughters, Shannon Colson of Carmi, and Sharla Barton and Sheila Russell both of Norris City; four grandchildren, four step-granddaughters, nine step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Aydt of Dahlgren, Carolyn Clark of Carmi and Cindy Russell of Enfield; one brother, Carl of Loganville, GA; his mother-in-law, Stella Ewald of Dahlgren; one brother-in-law, John Ewald of Dahlgren; one sister-in-law, Sharon Roesch of Mt. Vernon, IL; several nieces and nephews and many great friends. A Funeral Mass for John R. Biggerstaff will be held at at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Enfield. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield, with a Rosary at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hamilton Memorial Hospital Foundation
