Amy L. Rone, 38, of Akin, IL, died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Rone was born on August 29, 1973 in Benton, IL the daughter of Carl Darnell and Melba (Warren) Darnell. She married Steve Rone on June 18, 1994 and he survives. Amy worked as an administrative assistant for the Franklin-Jefferson Special Education District. She was a member of the Potter’s Way Church, Ewing, IL and enjoyed horses and fishing. Surviving relatives include her husband, Steve Rone, Akin, IL, two children, Mallory and Brody Rone, both of Akin, IL, mother, Melba Darnell, Akin, IL, one brother, Keith (Bobbi Lynn) Darnell, Akin, IL, two sisters, Debbie (David) Link, Macedonia, IL, Janet (Roger) Rone, Akin, IL, father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Sharon Wadsworth, Benton, IL, father-in-law, Les Rone, Mt. Sterling, IL, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shari and Scott Buntin, Akin, IL and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Rone was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Brother Roger Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Brady Cemetery, Akin, IL.
