Cathy Chambers, 66, of Dix, Illinois passed away at Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Deaconnes Select Speciality Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on Friday, July 31, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Edwin J. and Gladys M. (Maltby) Merrill. Surviving family members include her Mother: Gladys M. Merrill of Flint, Michigan; Son: Charles H. Chambers of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 2 Daughters: Cheryl Brown and husband Vince of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Paula Kay Glenn of McLeansboro, Illinois; 2 Grandsons: Isaiah Glenn of McLeansboro, Illinoisn and Jason Brown of Orlando, Florida; Niece: Christy Merrill Pillars of Tennessee. Her father and brother: Stephen Merrill preceded her in death. Cathy was a secretary for World Color Press in Salem, Illinois before retiring and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Faith GRAVESIDE MEMORIAL SERVICE: will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Bell Cemetery in Marion County, Illinois. Reverend Kenneth Holland will officiate. INTERMENT: Bell Cemetery in Marion County, Illinois. VISITATION: There will be no visitation held.
