Mavis M. Hall, 88, of Wayne City, passed away at 5:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.She was born in Hamilton County on May 12, 1921, a daughter of Milton and Ethel (Dailey) Fields. She married Dain Hall on Dec. 21, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1981. She was a homemaker.Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City; the Rev. Robert Sefried, Lyndel Harper and Cliff Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Garrison Cemetery.Friends may call at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Mrs. Hall is survived by a son, Dale Hall and wife Nancy of Wayne City; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hall of Wayne City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepmother; and a son, Jerry Hall.Mrs. Hall was a member of Friendly Zion General Baptist Church.For those who wish memorials may be made to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Foundation and will be accepted at Richardson Funeral Home.
