I have an ancestor named Susanna Fields who mar. Hiram Biggerstaff. ?Susanna (ca?1800 KY- ca 1846 White, IL)?was the daughter of Joshua and Jane Fields. ?Hiram and Susanna were mar. 8 Feb 1821 in White Co. IL. I show as notes for Joshua the following: Joshua (1771-1825, bur. Enfield Cem.) was the progenitor of the FIELDS family in White Co. IL.? He came from VA to "Fored" Deer (name of a river) in TN. ?Joshua is identified as the father of Sally Fields Phipps.? When Sally married Phipps in 1832, she had to have Hiram Biggerstaff (Susannah Fields' husband) swear that Sally was 18 years old. ? It is likely that Sally and Susannah are sisters, and probably also Polly, who married Hiram's brother. Marr. record for White Co. IL shows Joshua FIELDS marrying Rhoda ABAR on 16 Jan 1836.? This could be a son of Joshua's, or possibly a second marriage. ?Also, I show the following for Joshua and Jane. ? Children:?????????????????Thomas (1793-1840) ????????????????????????????? William (1794-1853) ????????????????????????????? Susannah (1800-1846) ????????????????????????????? Jeremiah (1801-1868) ????????????????????????????? Polly (Mary) (1805-1831) ????????????????????????????? James C. (1811-) ????????????????????????????? Sally (1814-) ????????????????????????????? Joshua ????????????????????????????? Denson? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Jane I thought you might find this helpful for further research. ?The primary source of this information is: FIELDS research by Mrs. Chalon T.
