MCLEANSBORO - Carly Josephine Garner, infant daughter of Arthur "A.J." and Marie (Howell) Garner III, passed away at 10:57 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Carly is survived by her parents of McLeansboro; two sisters, Erica and Bethany; grandparents, Roy and Suella Howell of Benton, Joyce McLaine of Benton, Artie and Donna Garner of West Frankfort and Patsy and Jay Large of Chillicothe, Mo.; great-step grandmother, Beverly Howell of Benton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Carly was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gene and Josephine Howell, Jay and Mary Garner and Muriel and Bill Gurley. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort, with Pastor Joe Daniels officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends and family are requested to meet at the cemetery. For those who wish, memorials in Carly's memory may be made to the family; memorials will be accepted at the cemetery or at Morton and Johnston Funeral Home.
