Barbara, The legacy of kin books are are a compendium of obits from 1872 on, and most of them are cross-referenced with the obits of their children and siblings. Marriages are also listed. They are wonderful. They are not perfect, as in the case of one of my Savage cousins whose brother had died in the Dahlgren area in 1921. Someone reported in the Dahlgren paper that the cousin also died, but they I found her in the 1930 census and a note in another obit in 1940 that she was the last living member of the generation. They are very good, and well-indexed. Since there are no IRAD items for Hamilton County they are particularly useful. They are not a county history.
