    3. Sandy, Yes, my grandfather seemed to like older married women! He was about the age of 20 when he first married Mary A. Mann, Douglas, in 1901 in Saline Co and the marriage was believed annulled.(I have not found a divorce record). The following year May 11, 1902 he married Emily Caroline (Viers) Wilson, widow of George Washington Wilson.  Both marriages the bride was 10 or more years older than he was. Emily & George had 4 sons Lewis, Lawrence, Joseph & David Henry Wilson, b.1895 (not in your census).  Floyd & Emily had Mary Louise b. 1903 & James Everett b. 1905.  Emily died Aug. 17, 1927. 3. Thanks for the explanation James. Is James Everett Gholson b. 1905 your father? I think I found the marriage for William C. Boyer and Mary Olive Tennyson: Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763–1900 BOYER, WILLIAM C TENNISON, MARY O 1891-01-18 00E/0382 GALLATIN Sandy James Gholson wrote: Sandy, Yes, my grandfather seemed to like older married women!
