Velma Irene "Pee Wee" Clark Velma Irene "Pee Wee" Clark of Gilberts Funeral services for Velma Irene "Pee Wee" Clark, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born July 6, 1935, in Southern Illinois, the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary (nee George) Birkhead, she died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, On March 27, 1954, she married Everett M. Clark. Pee Wee was a 46-year resident of Gilberts. She was a 1978 graduate of Elgin Community College School of Nursing. Pee Wee worked as a registered nurse at Sherman Hospital for 17 years, prior to her retirement. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Everett M. Clark; their children, Crystal (Glen " Butch") Varney of Huntley, Patricia (Robert "Bob") Walser of Schaumburg and Everett Jr. " Bub" (Laura Kunold) Clark of Gilberts; her grandchildren, Douglas, Angela, Heather, Aslin, Nathan, Collin and Stephanie; her great-grandchildren, Colton, Kailyn, Carter, Logan and Emily; her brother, Franklin (Cindy) Birkhead of Elgin; her sisters, Frances (Larry) Adams of Arizona, Vera (Basil) Whittington of Macadonia, Ill., Lois (Pat) Handcock of Oklahoma and Glenda Campbell of Elgin; and many nieces, nephews and countless good and faithful friends.
