Bonnie Aileen Hargrove, 88, of Eldorado and formerly of Broughton, passed away at 1:29 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.She was born in Fairfield on Jan. 7, 1922, a daughter of Lewis and Ollie (Johnson) Whitmire. She married Marion Inman Hargrove, and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery near Broughton.Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.Mrs. Hargrove is survived by a son, James Ernest Hargrove of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Bonnie Louise Goss and husband Wilburn of Eldorado, Marjorie Ann Ensley and husband Jeff of Harrisburg and Mildred June Willis of Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.Mrs. Hargrove was a member of Boyleston Methodist Church.For further information, you may contact Gholson Funeral Home at 643-2321.
