Mountain Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Ruby Davis, 85, of McLeansboro, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.She was born April 27, 1924, in Dale, the daughter of Walker and Dollie (Mezo) Johnson. She married Forrest Davis on June 29, 1946, in McLeansboro, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2009.Ruby was a homemaker. She loved crossword puzzles, puzzles, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church in McLeansboro.Funeral services will be held at noon today at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. John Smith officiating.Interment will be at Ten Mile Cemetery in McLeansboro.Visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.Ruby is survived by two sons, James Roger "Jim" Davis and wife Edna of Cadet, Mo. and Joseph Wayne Davis and wife Dee of Jefferson City, Mo.; sister-in-law, Peggy Johnson of Grand Prairie, Texas; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, thre! e sisters and two brothers.Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
