Aline V. Boyd, 96, of McLeansboro, died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro. She was born March 20, 1914, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Martha (Holland) Drew. She married Earl Gibbs, who preceded her in death. She later married Wayne Boyd, who preceded her in death. Aline was a homemaker. She was a membner of Blooming Grove Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery near McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Interment followed. Aline is survived by a nephew, Marion Drew and wife Betty of McLeansboro; a niece, Betty Eggley of McLeansboro; and two stepdaughters, Sharon and Judy Boyd, both of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two brothers and one sister. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
