    3. Buneda Brockett, 90, died at noon, Friday, April 9, 2010, in Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, in First General Baptist Church south of McLeansboro, with the Rev. Ken Cook and the Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Burial will be in Braden Cemetery in Dale. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Buneda was born May 2, 1919, in Eldorado, to Earl and Frona (Holman) Gwaltney. She married Robert L. Brockett on June 25, 1939, and he preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1981. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for Senior Citizen's Nutrition Center in McLeansboro. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in McLeansboro. Survivors include two sons, Bob Brockett and wife, Ruth, of McLeansboro and Bill Gwaltney and wife, Linda, of Benton; two daughters, Glenda Mitchell and husband, Everett, of McCleansboro and Kathy Pryer and husband, Earl, of McLeansboro; ten grandchildren, Glendal Mitchell and wife, Rhonda of McLeansboro, Beth Stevens and husband, Jeff, of McLenasboro, Bill Gwaltney and wife, Julie, of Benton, Kent Gwaltney of Owensboro, Stacy Freeman and husband, Paul, of Darmstadt, Ind., Bob Brockett and wife, Jodi, of McLeansboro, Amy Perry of McLeansboro, Adam Pryer and wife, Rachel, of Nashville, Aaron Pryer of Ft. Bragg, N.C. and Adrienne Bowman and husband, Clint, of McLeansboro; several nieces and nephews including Joyce Elledge and husband, Danny, of DuQuoin and Ron Gwaltney and wife, Sylvia, of Sacramento, Calif.; 18 great-granschildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Bernard and Beryl Gwaltney; and one sister, Bernice Jones. Harre Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
