Arol Loren Castros, 67, of Kissimmee, Fla., and formerly of Pekin, passed away Jan. 10, 2010, after a long battle with health issues. He was born in Peoria on July 7, 1942, to the late Wesley D. Castros and Darlene M Baker. Arol is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara L. Castros. He is survived by his children Clu (and Shelly) Castros of Harrisburg, Penny (and Donald) Freels of Evansville, Ind., Lisa (and David) Essary of Broughton, Kande Castros of Evansville, Ind., Wesley Castros of Creve Coeur, Cynthia (and Donald) Hampton of Pekin, Tony Whitehurst III of Peoria, and Debbie (and Danny) Wilson of Kissimmee, Fla., along with his siblings Bill (and Wanda) Castros of Sacramento, Calif., Terry Brand of Peoria and Greg Brand of Peoria. Arol is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Before retiring in 1995, he worked for Komatsu America Corp. as a laborer for about 20 years
