Daniel W. Duncan, 51, of Dahlgren, passed away at 9:28 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.He was born in Eldorado on June 7, 1958, a son of George E. and Myrtle E. (Wisser) Duncan. He married Connie S. Smith, and she survives. He owned and operated Duncan Mowing Service and also worked as a gas attendant at Rush Service Station.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Visitation will be held form 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his mother, Myrtle Duncan of Dahlgren; sons, Jesse Duncan and Dakota Duncan, both of Dahlgren; daughters, April Lindsay of Dale and Angela Corse of McLeansboro; brother, Gary Duncan of Dahlgren; sister, Gail Ellen Bishop of Clewiston, Fla.; two grandchildren, Zoey Linn Fair and Chasity Louanne Green; and four nephews and three nieces including Katrina Bennett.He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Sandra E.
