Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Parker of Moweaqua will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for family and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 at Grace Baptist Church, 230 N. Main St., Moweaqua. The couple requests no gifts. Dwight Parker and the former Helen Morrissine Drew were united in marriage Feb. 13, 1960, in Blairsville. Mr. Parker served in the U.S. Air Force. He is retired from Caterpillar in Decatur, where he worked as a machinist. Helen Parker is also retired, having worked as a hairdresser and office supervisor in Decatur. The couple reside in the country outside of Moweaqua. They are the parents of three children: Debora (husband Paul) MacDonna of Rochester; Gary Parker (wife Susan) of Moweaqua; and Krissy Parker (deceased). There are four grandchildren, Erin, Levi, Keegan and Lisa.
