Mr. and Mrs. John W. Williams of Enfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 19, 2009, at a surprise party given by their children and grandchildren. John and Karen were married Dec. 19, 1959, at Mt. Vernon. They have two children, John M. Williams and wife Hope of McLeansboro and Myra G. Peak and husband Tim of Evansville, Ind. John and Karen have five grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren, Amy Evans and husband Chris, Justin Williams, Samantha Peak, Nicholas and Noah Peak, Michaela Scattone and Benjamin Scattone.
