Melva June Plock, 57, of Cottage Hills and formerly of McLeansboro, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born in Manteno on Oct. 23, 1952, a daughter of Melvin Earl and Audrey June (Huffstutler) Plock. She was a beautician and Protestant by faith.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Mark Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.Melva is survived by her brothers, Cecil Plock and wife Linda of West Frankfort and Jack Plock and wife Roxanne of Racine, Wis.; and a sister, Jada Plock of Kankakee. She also helped raised the children of Anthony Alben and they also survive, Janice Alben, Linda Alben and Roger Alben.She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ricky Plock; and one sister, Karen Jean Plock.Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Fund and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home where you may call 643-2321 for further information.
