McLEANSBORO - Rebecca Lynn Hutchcraft and Charles L. Crow Jr. were married Aug. 30, 2011, at Turning Point Church in McLeansboro. The Rev. William Jackson, uncle of the groom, officiated. The couple married on the birthday of the bride's grandmother, Audrey Holmes, who died in May 2007. The bride is the daughter of Mary Jo and Russell Hutchcraft of McLeansboro. The groom is the son of Charles and Kay Crow of McLeansboro. "Honoring All Firefighters" was the wedding theme. The wedding party Alicia Coffee of McLeansboro, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Christine Kindlesparger of Johnston City and Karen Wood of Bonnie, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. Kelsi Barger and Oshaean Praterm, nieces of the groom, and Kimberly Davis, Savannah Davis and Danielle Hutchcraft, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Nick Coffee of McLeansboro, friend of the groom, was best man. David Kindlesparger Jr. of Johnston City, friend of the bride, and David Hutchcraft of McLeansboro, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Cody Burrow of McLeansboro, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer. Christopher Hutchcraft, brother of the bride, was usher. The bride's gown was designed by DaVinci. It was a white, floor-length, taffeta, strapless flowing gown with a sweetheart neckline. It had rhinestones and beading on the bodice and a red satin waistband. Beading and rhinestones were tucked into the skirt with pick-ups and a chapel train. Her headpiece was a ruby-and-silver tiara and a fingertip-length veil with rhinestones and beading on the edge. She wore a ruby-and-rhinestone necklace and earrings and a sixpence in her shoe. The bride's bouquet was small and large red and white cascading silk roses with green ivy and baby's breath with red and white ribbon streamers. The bridesmaids' gowns also were designed by DaVinci. They were floor-length red satin with spaghetti straps and a white satin empire ribbon with a white bow and long streamer to the floor. The shoes were dyed to match the gowns. The bridesmaids all had a rhinestone heart necklace with earrings to match. The bridesmaids' and flower girls' flowers were handheld red and white silk roses with baby's breath and red ribbon. The flower girls' dresses were specially designed and made by the mother of the bride. They were floor-length white satin with red satin waistbands with matching red shoes. They all had a rhinestone heart necklace to match the bridesmaids' necklaces. The bride's mother's dress was designed and made by the bride's mother. It was floor-length sky blue satin with a light blue see-through layover. Her corsage was red and white small roses with baby's breath. The groom wore a black tuxedo with tails with a red vest and tie. His boutonniere was made of red, white and green roses. The groomsmen, best man, ring bearer and ushers wore black tuxedos with red vests and bow ties with red and white boutonnieres. The groom's mother's dress was a knee-length blue dress with white flowers. Her corsage was small red and white silk roses with baby's breath. The bride had something old - a sixpence in her shoe; something new - her dress; something borrowed - she wore a pin on her dress from her mom; and something blue - her garter. The older flower girls pulled the smaller flower girls down the aisle in a red wagon as they threw out red, white and green rose petals. The couple had a memory table with pictures of and candles for deceased family members. They prayed the firefighter prayer for all firefighters everywhere, living and dead, and had a moment of silence for them. Cathy Martin was in charge of the guest register. Karen Wood was the wedding planner. Don Wood was the photographer. Ceremony music, decorations William and Mary Hutchcraft sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer," accompanied by Karen Wood on piano. Pastor Josepha Lecke played the guitar and sang "The Wedding Song (There Is Love)" while the sand was being poured. "Precious Moments" was played as the candles were lit at the memory table. The parents were seated by "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." The bridesmaids walked in to "We've Only Just Begun." The bride walked in to "Here Comes the Bride," and the bride and groom walked out to "The Wedding March," with the music played by Alice Westman on piano. Church decorations consisted of red and white roses and tulle on the arch and red and white roses with candles on the memory table and altar. Firefighter hats were by the altar and memory table with pictures of the departed on the memory table. Red and white roses with green ivy with red and white ribbons were on the pews. The reception Reception decorations were red and white tablecloths with red and white candles and roses. Behind the bride and groom's table on the wall were red and white silk flowers and red and white tulle with silver letters spelling out their names. Lights and tulle were on the front of the bridal table, cake table and DJ's table and lined the dance floor. The cake was specially designed and made by Mary Williams. It was a white four-tiered cake with white icing and red decorations, including small fire trucks. The cake topper was a firefighter and his bride. The couple met at Hamilton County High School and fell in love their sophomore year. Favorite activities together are taking long walks while holding hands, going to the show, talking, being together and finding different ways to make each other happy and helping other people. They said, "We make a good couple because we have a lot in common. We knew from the start that we were meant to be together. God brought us together." He proposed to her on one knee. As he held her hand, looked her in the eyes and asked her to marry him, she screamed "Yes!" He gently kissed her hand as he placed the ring on her finger and she almost fainted with joy. The couple said their dreams are "to buy a house, start a family, have fun together through life and grow old together gracefully." They thank God daily for their love as they have together. The bride is a 2010 HCHS graduate. She is a stay-at-home wife helping her mother, who is not in good health. The groom is a 2009 HCHS graduate. He works at Continental Tire the Americas as a PLS pallet repairman. He is also a volunteer firefighter in McLeansboro. The honeymoon will be taken at a later date. They plan on going to the Great Smoky Mountains, Hawaii or the Bahamas. They reside in McLeansboro.
