Alice L. Scott 86-year-old former Broughton resident, Alice L. Scott of Alton, IL died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 at the VIP Nursing Home in Wood River, IL. She had been a sales clerk. Survivors include a step-son, Carl Scott of Hanna City, IL; a step-daughter, Linda A. Welch of East Alton, IL; a brother, Dennis Jared of Ohio; 4 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. Services for Alice L. Scott will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Blias-Kallal & Schaff Funeral Home in Alton, Ill. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 until the time of service. A graveside service for Alice L. Scott will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Gholson Cemetery near Broughton. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Heartland Hospice and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro which is in charge of all the arrangements.
