WOLFE CITY, Texas - A memorial service for Ruby Alice Williams, 89, loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, was held Friday at Bellaire United Methodist Church in Bellaire, Texas, with the Rev. Jim Flag officiating. Interment was at Willis Cemetery in Willis, Texas. Mrs. Williams passed away Nov. 8, 2011, at her home at Tender Care Alzheimer's Home in Greenville, Texas. She was born Sept. 12, 1922, in McLeansboro to Madeline and Herman Steele. She graduated from McLeansboro High School in 1938. She married John Franklin Williams Jr. on July 18, 1952, in Hobbs, N.M. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, den mother and school volunteer and was a member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church at the time of her death. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years; her son Lester Nolan Lalley; her son John Thomas Williams; her brothers Otha Steele and James Monroe Steele; her sisters Orpha Bond, Ella Mae Harre and Eldora Townsend; and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Rabb and husband Robert of Austin, Texas; her grandson Joshua Godwin and wife Korey of Austin; her grandson Eli Rabb of Los Angeles; her grandson John Rabb and wife Alexa of Austin; her grandson Alec Rabb of Dallas; her great-grandson Holden Rabb and great- granddaughter Samantha Rabb of Austin; her sister Mary Ruth Pool and husband A.W. of Clinton, Okla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
