Thanks for your responses on John Webb. Will have to check further on what you all sent. Clay wrote that Julia Webb and Permileon Webb (sisters) had a brother Obediah Hendrick Webb. Does anyone know why the family used the name Hendricks. Were there Hendricks married to Webbs or Farris. I have Obediah Hendrick Webb m. Sara Everetts 1834 in Hamilton Co with two other sons besides John Murray Webb that Clay mentions. I had Elijah Everett Webb and Henry Martin Webb. It seems the Webbs liked putting surnames in as middle names thus my question on where does Hendrick originate. In case anyone is interested Obe was born in Ky 4/11/1821. In a few family trees I have seen Elizabeth Hendrick Roundtree married to Henry Webb (father of Julia Webb). Joan

"Old" Martin Webb was baptized on 29 Dec 1738 in St Peter's Parrish, New Kent County, VA. (I only have three children for Martin: John born 1860 married Peggy Jones; Judith born 25 May 1779 married William Rountree; Henry born 1783 married Elizabeth Rountree). There are probably many other children born between 1760-1783.
