I am his g granddaughter and am not aware that there was a second marriage. Their last daughter-Lillian Susan was born Dec, 25, 1900 and Ella Ward Sandusky died Jan 04. 1901. David Franklin spent his last years with his daughter and son-in-law (my grandparents) Aaron and Anna (Sandusky) Smith. About one month before his death, he went to the Nursing home at Carmi and passed away there on Dec. 03, 1947. Both David Franklin and Ella are buried at Ten Mile Cemetery, Hamilton Co. IL.
