Hi all, I am always looking for something interesting to put on Yesterdays of Hamilton Co., IL. Well, I have found a dandy this time! In May, 1900, the McLeansboro Times published a supplement edition of which 4,000 copies were printed. These were mailed across the country as an enticement for those who wished to change their locations. This is a very rare publication. It gives a wonderful account of life in McLeansboro in 1900 and the progress made between the years 1886-1900. It highlights businesses and professional men and county officers, etc. There is also a section on the beautiful homes in McLeansboro. In total there are 82 photos and most of the photos were taken especially for this edition. Rather than split this up and place the photos and bios. throughout the site, I decided to place the work in its entirety and to be as faithful to the original format as was possible.
