While researching my grandfather, John Horn, Who lived in Ham county, I found his marriage took place in Mascoutah, Ill in August 1870. On the same marriage document was the marriage of Joseph Haas to Caroline Hall, who were married on Aug. 30, 1870. This is most likely the Johaan Haas who came over on the boat with John Horn, the Westphalia, on 28 Sept, 1868. Will be happy to provide a copy of the information to any Haas researchers. Paul Horn
