    3. Darlene, Thank you very much for finding Phillip and his famly for me. They were in Tennessee in 1860, All 13 of Joseph and Mary Margaret (Houk) Smith children were born in Tennessee -all in Monroe Co.,I think--. The whole family came to Hamilton Co., IL but not all at the same time. Joseph was born 1804 in NC and Mary Margaret(later called Peggy) was born 1806 in either NC or TN. They married in early 1820's- don't know where- Have no idea who their parents or siblings were. All 13 children raised their families in Hamilton Co and all 13 children died in Hamilton Co with the exception of Michael A. Smith . He was in Craighead Co. Ark. in 1900 census, but haven't found him in 1910 or 1920 Census. However he died in Craighead Co. Ark in 1921. They all seem to be playing "hide and seek" , and they seem to be very good at hiding. I notice that "John Coker" is listed as Ass't Marshal. Joseph and Peggy's youngest child, Frances ":Frankie" born in 1850 married a William Lafayette Coker. Thank you again for your help. Evalyn
