I don't know what community this is, but they live very near my ancestor, Henry DOUGLASS who lived in the Indian Creek Township near the town of Roland, IL. William and Mariah married in White County, IL on 2 Jan 1850---Book 2 and Box 3. 1860 Census for White County, IL has an GREER, Aquilla F. 68 S.C. with Sarah Greer 38, KY and living in the household is HENDRICKS, Samuel 12 born in IL. I did not find William and Mariah on any other census. Might try Gallatin and Saline Counties. Darlene

    3. I do not have any information on WILLIAM GREER and/or MARIAN COOK. I do have some information on the family of Miss Nannie FAULKNER, who is named as the wife of Acquilla GREER in the obituary listed below. She was a great grandaughter of my g g grandparents, Joseph and Mary Margaret (Houk) Smith. Would be happy to share.
