    3. Thanks Darlene...this helps sort out one group of Gibsons from another...the J.W. in Jefferson wouldn't be James W. Gibson..he didn't have a brother, Augustus. However, Augustus' father, Samuel Sr., may have been related to James' father, Robert Gibson who died in 1851. I'll file this with other info I have on Augustus and look into the Jefferson Co. connection. thanks again, Barb ----- Original Message ----- From: Djshawn636@aol.com To: bmarco_1@bellsouth.net Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2001 10:37 PM Subject: Re: [ILHAMILT-L] Obit Request Barb, THE LEADER---1908 Postmaster AUGUSTUS GIBSON d Jul 6 herre. Funeral to be at M.E. CH here. (obit Jul 9 paper). This was found HAMILTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS DEATH RECORDS VOLUME II 1901-1920. By Dessie Hunt Harrelson. Might find J. W. Gibson's obit in Jefferson County, IL. Death certificates can be ordered from the State Archives for 50 cents each unless they have increased the price. That was the last price I paid. Mt. Vernon Library has the IL Death Certificate information (numbers, dates, etc.) on microfiche and the address where they can be ordered. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help. Darlene
