Other curious information -- notice the spelling of his mother's name in the following. "Saline County IL Marriage Register, Book A-1, 1878-1898" says "James R. Metcalf, barber, age 33, born IL, residence Harrisburg, parents Danl P. Metcalf and Barbaba Malow, married Etta Kilgore 15 July 1891 Harrisburg".
