Madge Allen, 100, of Wayne City died 3:33 a.m. Dec. 12, 1999, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker. She was born April 24, 1899, in Newman to Mary (Hinds) and George Guthridge. She married Elmer Young Allen on Dec. 18, 1915, in Hamilton County; he died Nov. 10, 1985. Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at York Funeral Home in Wayne City with the Revs. Wendell Garrison and Mike Steed officiating. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at York Funeral Home in Wayne City. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Chambliss and husband Junior of Wayne City and Maxine Marlow and husband Onis of Bluford; two sons, Max Allen and wife Lee of Frankfort, Ky., and Edgar Atchisson and wife Edith of Wayne City; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maud Browning of McLeansboro. She was a member of Wayne City Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, granddaughter, two brothers, one sister, one half brother, one half sister, one stepbrother, and one stepsister. Mt.
