Since there has been alot of response to the Allen line, let's keep going. Here's more information I am trying to sort out. Josiah Allen, b. 1798 NC; d. 20 May 1855; Hamilton Co., IL. He married Winnifred/Winniford Ingram, daughter of Sewell Ingram on 30 Oct 1821 in Johnson Co., NC. They came to IL before 1831. They had the following children: Caroline G., Josephus (married Rosanna Dewitt), Penelope, James R., Winniford (married Wilburn Marion Anderson), and Rachel Paulina Allen (married John S. Anderson).
