Hello Mart, I don't have a lot on that family, but will give you what I have. REBECCA ELLEN SNDERS was born about 1846 in Indiana. She died March 4, 1875 in Hamilton Co. Ill. She married ELISHA BENNETT in Crawford Co. Ind. on Dec. 24, 1864. He was born abt. 1844 in Ind. He died May 27, 1872 in Hamilton Co. Ill. ELISHA enlisted in the Civil War on Aug. 10, 1862 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Co. F, 50th Inf. of Ind. I have as there 4 children: FELIX BENNETT born-March 3, 1864 PHEBE A. BENNETT born-Oct. 14, 1866 MARY E. BENNETT born-Nov. 17, 1868 WILLIAM G. BENNETT born-Sept. 7, 1871 REBECCA'S parents were: WILLIAM SANDERS born-June 3, 1819 in Indiana died-Feb. 11, 1884 in Hamilton Co. Ill. Married: March 5, 1838 in Orange Co. Ind. to: PHEBE McDONALD born-Nov. 20, 1817 in Mercer Co. Ky. died-May 24, 1886 in Hamilton Co. Ill. WILLIAM AND PHEBE, and ELISHA BENNETT are buried in the Old Hickory Hill Cem. Hamilton Co. Ill. (that is in the South part of Hamilton Co.) there is a spece between William and Elisha, and I suppose Rebecca is buried there. On the other side of Elisha, are 2 or 3 more of William's son's. Elisha and the other sons of William all have Civil War stones. WILLIAM SANDERS parents were: RICHARD SANDERS AND ELIZABETH BREEZE Don't know much more, except that William and Phebe had there children in Orange and Crawford Co. Ind. Not real sure when they came to Hamilton Co. In the 1880 Hamilton Co. Census, is listing the children of Rebecca and Elisha as living with there grandparents. Would you be able to tell me any more about Mary E. and her family, her brothers and sisters, as to when they died, and where they ended up at. I have nothing on them except there dates of birth, that I gave you. I do have list of the children of William and Phebe.
