Hi, I am looking for any information about a HARMISON (Harmeson, Harmason, Harminson, Harmanson) family that lived in Franklin County and Hamilton County areas in the late 1810's and early 1820's, as well as any information about any other Harmison's that might have lived in that area. Here's what I have: father = Nathaniel, Sr. listed in the statehood census of 1818, as well as Franklin Co Census in 1820 and 1830. (b. and m. in VA) mother = Lydia Jones (b. and m. in VA) children = Nathaniel, Jr. Johnathan b. 1817 Knights Prairie, Hamilton Co., IL Matilda b. abt 1818 in Knights Prairie, Hamilton Co., IL Charles b. 1823 Meigs Prairie, IL I am confused by the 1820 and 1830 Census showing that they lived Franklin Co., yet, their children were born in Hamilton Co. Was one of these counties part of the other at sometime? Does anyone know where Meigs Prairie, IL is? Thank you to anyone who can help me. Tricia Harmison Wu
