    3. I would like to applaud Shelia and Sandy for their comments. The LDS (Mormons) do a great service to the world in their preservation of records. At their Family History Centers and the Family History Library in Salt Lake, they are there to help you with your research. It is a great benefit to all genealogists -- beginner and advanced. And, it is free. A personal note: We have close friends that are Mormon. They have a fabulous family life style. Perhaps we should learn from them. 3. I'll second that Sheila! Where would we be without all their missionary work to preserve records. I think it would be good for everyone to understand, in their own words, why the Mormons do what they do for preserving records and what this "sealing" is really all about: http://mormon.org/family-history/ I'm not Mormon but I believe everyone has the right to believe in the religion of their own choosing.
