Looking for information on James KING born abt. 1821 in Ohio and married Julia A. IRVIN in Hamilton co Il on June 12, 1845 She is the daughter of Abraham IRVIN They have two children Alice L. and Benjamin KING Wondering if James KING connects to the Daniel David KING, 1831 Ohio that married Martha Jane HUDSON, who also lived in Hamilton and Jefferson Counties of Illinois
I've done some more digging and found the marriage of James Willis Kirk and Lucy Caroline Burks. It appears James was not part of the Kirk families we've all been researching for so many years around southern IL. Help! I am trying to straighten out some of my Maulding/Kirk families. I find Daniel M. Maulding and wife Julia A. Kirk living in Dahlgren Twp, HCI in 1910 and 1920 census with her mother living with them. Caroline Kirk states her age as 82 in 1920 and as 72 in 1910. In the census Julia states she has given birth to no children but her Proof of Death lists quite a few people which I assume are nieces, nephews, etc as listed on Carol Yarbrough's website below: http://www.carolyar.com/Illinois/Wills/MauldingJ.htm On this 22nd day of August A. D. 1931, personally appears W. W. Daily and states to the Court that Julia A. Maulding late of said County, departed this life at Delafield, Illinois on or about the 7th day of May A. D. 1931, leaving at the time of her death, Daniel M. Maulding her husband and Earl Wright, Marie Wright, Z. A. Daily, James H. Daily, Whitson W. Daily, William H. Daily, Lewis A. Daily, Sarah Simons, Mary Henson, Columbia T. Leamon, Cora Joines, James W. Kirk, Blanche Counts, Opal Sistrunk, Eithel Kirk, Con Kirk, Glen Kirk, Mabel Kirk, Florence Alexander, Elsi Shaver, Nell Critcher, Carrie Bradshaw, as her heirs at law. Does anyone know who Julia A. (Kirk) Maulding's parents are? The only marriages I can find for anyone named Kirk with bride of Caroline are the following: KIRK, BENJAMIN H SEARS, CAROLINE 1845-07-10 00A 0026 FAYETTE KIRK, THOMAS BREWER, MARY CAROLINE 1853-02-09 A 111 1853-31 JERSEY KIRK, THOMAS BROWN, MARY CAROLINE 1853-02-09 A 19 JERSEY -- Sandy (Whalen) Bauer "Grandmas are just antique little girls"
I have found that Ambrose Pleasant Maulding & Gulielma (Julie Elma) Mills were the parents of Mary Estella Maulding who was the mother of Roy David Maulding. Thanks. Phyllis Maulding Campbell
I found a wedding announcement in a old newspaper online for Roy's daughter, Shirley who married a Robert J. McCalmant. The paper is the Spokane Daily Chronicle 3-19-1948. Yes, I'm hoping for some new breath from more recent descendants of John Henry Chaplain, 1795 - 1858, who was in this area from 1828-1858, off and on. He has many descendants in this area, owned land in the adjoining counties, married to three women: Mary Pope (No. Carolina) 1813 - ?, Nancy Walker McKinney (Franklin Co.plus) , 8 children; married to Elizabeth McCluskey (lived in Franklin Co. and Lawrence Co., Arkansas plus), 4 children. My ancestor is from his third wife.upposedly shot while traveling from Imboden, AR, to Franklin County, IL, in February 1858. My ancestry is from the children of his third wife. I have a large file of various information to share with distant cousins. Any questions? Perhaps there are some new descendants who can lend credance to the reports of his death?
