    1. [ILHAMILT-L] Family Discovery, Gentruth !!
    2. Carolyn White
    3. Hi List members, I don't know if anyone else has received a mailing from GenTruth, and alias for Family Discovery. Or if anyone is even interested in them, but I am bothered that they are taking our names from posting we make on various genealogy sites . I know this is where they get their names from because my e-mail address is not set up with my full name. The only way of knowing it is from postings I make and my signing my full name. Does anyone out there have any current information on this company or know if anything has been done about them ? I do realize that by using the internet we are opening ourselves up to all kinds of mail, but this company was at one time a big topic of conversation. I thought they had disappeared. Any thoughts ? Let's get back into the swing of things by sending me stuff at: BLKington@auxware.com Be sure to update your address book as I will no longer be using this JUNO e-mail address. 1. [ILHAMILT-L] W32.Badtrans virus
    2. Michael L. Hebert
    3. The subscribers that were unwittingly infected with the W32.Badtrans virus and distributing it to ILHAMILT-L list posters have now cleaned their computers and the list seems to be virus free. This latest virus (W32.Badtrans) has plagued a lot of lists. You can find more info. on it at: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ Not much can be done about it except to warn everyone to NOT open attachments of unknown or suspicious origin and to have your anti-virus software checking all your incoming mail. If you post to the ILHAMILT-L list (or any list for that matter) and get a response back with an attachment, RESIST THE URGE TO OPEN THE ATTACHMENT WITH ALL YOUR BEING. Before deleting the message, please copy down and inform me of the address so I can remove the address from the list until the person has rectified the problem. Thanks, Mike ILHAMILT-L Listowner

    1. Re: [ILHAMILT-L] W32.Badtrans virus
    2. Just as a word of caution the virus/worm does NOT have to come as an attachment there other types, sorry I dont remember what they call them but I got one. It happened to be something that McAfee didn't find even with a full system scan.. My son sent me to a site on the net that is free and it found it and cleaned it. I have changed to Norton as I use Netscape to do email and McAfee would not work with it. So make sure that what ever antivirus you are using works to check your incoming email and be sure to keep it updated!!! Gale Prince Nash "Michael L. 1. Re: [ILHAMILT-L] ANTIOCH SCHOOL ??
    2. MarcoSav
    3. I'm assuming that the Antioch Schoolhouse [abt 1853-55] somehow was asssociated with the Antioch Church..but so far haven't been able to determine. The only clue I have is a copy of a very faint note found in probate box which makes reference to the school and a couple of names which are very hard to read... one of the surnames is Phelps...this is the school teacher or schoolmaster from what I can figure out...the other begins with the given name "Oliver" and the surname is partially illegible.. I'm hoping if someone knows of the school that they may also know of the teacher or who some of the students might have been. barb in Savannah,GA ----- Original Message ----- From: "tom james" <tjames@neptune.ezeeweb.com> To: "MarcoSav" <bmarco_1@bellsouth.net> Sent: Monday, June 04, 2001 10:49 AM Subject: Re: [ILHAMILT-L] ANTIOCH SCHOOL ?? : Isn't it likely that the Antioch School was near the Antioch Church? 2. Kent & Deborah Johnson
    3. Ms. Campbell: Unfortunately, I didn't find the news you are looking for. However, the Sullivan newspaper is on-line and has obituaries. The url is http://www.newsprogress.com , so you might find it there in a day or two. Their last update was 5/31, so it should show up by next week or so. Best of luck. FYI, there were no Mauldings on there today (Sunday, 6/3/01). Kent J.
