Excerpt from http://carolyar.com/Illinois/1900/5.htm City of McLeansboro, County Officers.: John Hawthorn Mr. Hawthorn was married in 1869 to Miss Margaret J. Deny, who has been a faithful helpmate to him. They have four children and live on a farm of 130 acres two miles from town, I show that Ezekiel Pierce married a Margaret Denny. I do not have a date of this marriage. Ezekiel Pierce was born in 1801 in Campbell Co. Virginia and died 25 March 1862 in Kentucky. Is this the same Margaret Denny or does anyone have any information on her? Amy Mire ggg-granddaughter of Ezekiel Pierce and Sarah L. Maureen, Sounds like you failed to back up your additions. Darlene
Hi, I have a general question about GEDCOMS, I am running Family tree maker 8.0. And I was reading the instructions on backing up to a floppy incase something happened to this DARN computer. So, I did back up. But, I am not sure if I backed up correctly. When I went in and started adding information on the family lines. Which extended the starting line. I was able to link GGGrandparents on one side to the other side. And so forth and so on. But when, this DARN computer crashed, I reloaded everything and the only thing that was saved is the original starting point. What did I do wrong. Can any one point me in the right direction? Or be able to send me to the library to find a book on this? That explains it in English. Not computer ese? Thanks Maureen
